About Golden Apple
Hello, I'm Dr. Ou Chia-Hung, founder and director of Golden Apple Aesthetic Clinic. There are no other doctors, no sales consultants and no outside investors: just me, my wife and our nurses.
I left my job at another aesthetic clinic to open my own practice for the sake of medical independence. With no investors, I don't have to answer to shareholders; with no sales consultants, no one is pushing treatments to meet a quota. If you come for a consultation, you'll get the treatment that suits you, and if nothing suits you, we simply have a friendly chat with no pressure.
I am now in my fifth year of practice. Since opening, I have focused on hyaluronic acid, collagen stimulators (Ellanse, Sculptra, Vivabella and others), thread lifting, filler dissolving and botulinum toxin injections.
I have performed more than 5,000 tear trough injections and more than a thousand thread lifts. Whenever someone asks whether tear trough filler will form lumps, I can confidently say mine doesn't. Tear trough work is part of my everyday routine.
Every consultation and treatment at the clinic is done by me personally. We work hard to keep to schedule, but consultations are hard to time and every treatment differs in complexity, so you may sometimes have to wait. I apologize in advance.

Treatment Philosophy
Ultrasound guidance and blunt cannulas. Before injecting, I check blood vessels and tissue layers by ultrasound, then enter with a blunt cannula to lower the risk of vascular occlusion and migration. For botulinum toxin, I measure muscle thickness first and set the dose accordingly, rather than following a fixed chart.
Consultation and injection by the doctor himself. Assessment, design and injection are all done by me personally. For a first treatment I don't aim to finish in one go: I start with a conservative dose, observe, and add more if needed.
Safety and a natural look first. Fine lines on the face are normal structure, and keeping some of them looks more natural. The clinic also corrects failed hyaluronic acid injections, so we know well which approaches cause problems.

Do injections hurt?
The clinic aims for a painless experience, using numbing cream, cooling and fine needles. Most patients feel only a sense of pressure or soreness. Individual experience varies by area and person.
How do I find treatment prices?
The home page and the article on the clinic's treatment prices list public reference prices (for example, hyaluronic acid from about NT$8,800 per 1 cc depending on brand, and hyaluronidase at NT$5,000 per area). The actual cost depends on the dose and plan decided after assessment.
